CBWA
Community Based Work Assessment

Goodwill offers Community Based Work Assessment as an addition to PWAT (Personal Work Adjustment Training) or as a starting point for individuals seeking employment skills and experience with various job positions before deciding on a permanent employment choice.

CBWA provides basic employment services extended into actual work settings throughout the community.  Goodwill’s Employment Specialists physically accompanies participants to community work settings and allows participants the opportunity to sample realistic work experiences, to develop appropriate work behaviors and to develop the experience necessary to gain competitive employment with that employer or another.

Goodwill’s daily operations do not always offer the types of job training a participant may be interested in.  We have employers we work directly with to enable job training in a variety of employment settings outside of the Goodwill organization.  The CWBA Program is generally offered in twenty (20) hour increments until desired employment is obtained.
